This was when Grandpap and Grandma were living with Betty in Mexico City. Grandpap had had a stroke and they moved to Mexico. I think I heard that they said the climate would be better for him. Not long after Grandma had a stroke and it really effected her, she couldn't speak. Dorothy flew there and brought them home and they lived with Dorothy and Vance until she passed. Grandpap lived with Dorothy until he passed as well. She and Vance had divorced and she then moved to Tehachapi and married Jim Townsend.

Grandpap was still working as a pharmacist at the Antelope Valley Hospital Pharmacy, commuting to and from Tehachapi. He one time drove his car into a ditch coming home and I think that was when he finally was forced to retired.
