San Diego, CA. Boot camp. Had this taken in town. We had a one day liberty from boot. I had the pic made for my mom. She and Wendell, came down to see me on visitors day.

I continued to be a bad widdle boy. Since I was 21 I proceeded to have one to many drinks. I was with 3 of my company buddies who were all under 21. As we were taking the bus back I tossed my white hat out the window. For whatever reason, the bus driver stopped and one of my buddies went and grabbed my hat. It was filthy. When we got to the base the guards took us to see the Captain. becuase I was so drunk. The Captain asked me how old I was, I told him 21... I guess he felt that was then ok and sent us to the barracks. I got an earful the next morning from the rest of the company and our company commander. I didn't get into any more trouble until Hawaii, but that's another story.
