This pic was taken in the Forbidden City night club in Kakaako, Honululu. It had quite the reputation. I saw Redd Foxx there. After his last set the place was closing and I met Redd outside. He was talking with Sue Thompson, the girl who had the hit record 'Norman'. I was bold... I asked them if I could treat them to breakfast... done deal.

Some guy at the bar was heckling Redd. Redd hit him with a couple of retorts that got the audience laughing and it shut the guy up. I remember a couple of them but will save them for less tender ears.

I don't remember these guys names, but the guy in the middle we called 'Ski'. He told me he weighed over 250 lbs when he joined and as you can see he lost most of it. He kept all his boot camp dungerees to remind him to never get that heavy again. He did get his dress blues replaced, but his dungerees.... well, he was a sight in them.
